Sunday, January 16, 2022
Ottawa County Parks and Recreation

Event Details

***Due to weather conditions, this StoryWalk will be located at Hemlock Crossing Park instead of Connor Bayou. ***

Take a StoryWalk®! As you hike the wintry trails, read "When Winter Comes: Discovering Wildlife in Our Snowy Woods" by Aimée M. Bissonette and Erin Hourigan. Pages from this beautifully illustrated children's book will be posted on signs along the trail for your family to read together - along with ideas for things to look for and do as you hike!

The story begins near the visitor center. The hike is an approximately .25 mile loop on a paved, but likely snow covered trail.

This StoryWalk® will available to read as you stroll during regular park hours, 1 PM to 8 PM beginning Monday, January 10 through Sunday, January 16 at 5 PM.

This event is part of a StoryWalk® series created in partnership by Loutit District Library, Spring Lake District Library, the Tri-Cities Historical Museum, Ottawa County Parks & Recreation, the Village of Spring Lake, the City of Grand Haven, and the City of Ferrysburg. LDL StoryWalks® are made possible through the generosity of Carol Alexander and Kevin Carbary.
